OUR MISSION
South Street Farmers Market is a community focused market dedicated to enhancing and supporting our local rural community by establishing space for our regional farmers and producers to expand their business all while creating a thriving, educational community-focused event for our residents.

We are dedicated to building true rural market by creating an event that is accessible and supportive of everyone involved. Our first season takes place in Summer 2024.

  • All interested vendors must review the official market handbook before joining our market. These regulations ensures our market is in compliance with Alabama State Certification, and that all vendors meet the market requirements.

  • Each season, local school kids are asked to participate in the Farmers Market Logo Contest. The winning design will serve as the official market logo for the current season. To learn more about the contest, tap the link below!

  • In addition to our manager and advisor, the market is organized and led by a market committee. All members serve on a volunteer basis.   • Running a successful market takes a lot of hard work. We’re always seeking helping hands to assist on market day. Tasks can include helping vendors set up, market cleanup, running the information booth, and so much more! If you’re interested in volunteering, send us an email so we can add you to the list!

  • Local organizations, educators, artists and instructors are encouraged to lead an educational, hands-on program at the farmers market. We’re open to a wide range of opportunities including cooking classes, art programs, fitness classes and so much more! If you’re interested in bringing a program to the market, send us an email!
